It had been a long 10 day car ride from Ottawa to the city of Yellowknife. At the last turn in the road I raised my lazy eyes over the dash to see the city we would be calling home for the next few years. I noticed a large orange office building in the distance with 'YK Centre' printed on the side.
"They make zippers here?"
As soon as the words were out of my mouth I realized my mistake. YKK makes zippers, YK means Yellowknife.
We both laughed as we turned into the hotel's parking lot.
